The routine out there was very simple...Wake up at around 0800h and exercise  for an hr before having breakfast.. After breakfast, apply oill..l  and take sunbath for few hrs. Have lunch at around 1300h and sleep. Again wake up at 1600h and exercise. There was also a strict schedule of oral medicine..blah blah. blah.. which is all not at all blogworthy.

Only Blogworthy element from my three months stay is few beach visits and coming back...

After good about first month of stay we got a days break...Which i decided to utilize to have a better look at Kerala... The obvious choice was to visit the nearby beaches and back waters.

The closest beach was the Chowara beach.. Chowara is not exactly a hotspot tourist destination. It is primarily a fishing beach. Thousands of families are sustained by the Chowara's fishing business.

Early Morning at Chowara

The crowd at the beach evidently told that Chowara is not one of the not poplular beaches. However i think it is a perfect destination for nature lovers.

Some Foreign Objects were also spotted at Chowara.....

Next we headed for the more famous Kovulum Beach, which was another 10-12 km from chowara. Unlike Chowara, the pathway to Kovalam had a large crowd and it oooked like as if we are heading for a tourist destination.

The Light House at Kovalam

There must be hundreds of Beach Resorts and Hotels around Kovalam Beach. And as told by the locals they are all packed almost all the year. But Kovalam had a sickening effect on me. My stomach suddenly started rumbling. It wasn't because of any infection but actually i had sighted a Punjabi Eating Joint. For last fifteen days i have been having the Rice and Coconut chutney. So, instead of going to the beach which was hardly 50m ahead I decided to treat my stomach with Parathas and Shahi Paneer. I would have selected Butter Chicken but it was also in the Don't list of doctors. I could have shut the door of my memory on this if Girija wasn't with me. She didn't let me...Huh.... Never mind, even Shahi Paneer tasted like boneless butter chicken at that moment. I did not drink water so that the remains of Parathas are not washed off and i can savor the taste for more time. I might sound unhygienic but Just too bad... That was need of the hour... Ok, Lets head back to Kovalam.

Kovalam was slightly Curvaceous when compared to Chowara, which is much straighter and this could be cause of its poularity(knowing the south indian taste...lol)

Kovalam: View from Lighthouse

We visited only the Lighthouse Beach, which is the largest from the group. There are others like Hawah beach, which as per locals was India's first nude beach. Don't drop your tongues and start planning a trip....It's banned now. There is another beach known as Samudra and is again primarily a fishing beach. tourist activity is very restricted here.

Girija at Kovalam

Well this was all we could manage in this break.... While going back to the Hospital we got some Punjabi Khana  packed.. Just wanted to keep away from Na-real for atleast a day...
